Biography

Andrew Walaszek, a contemporary artist residing in Northwest Arkansas, draws upon a rich tapestry of experiences to create his captivating works. His artistic journey began in Europe, where he spent his formative years living and studying in various countries, including Poland, Scotland, Serbia, and Belarus. This exposure to diverse cultures undoubtedly influenced his artistic sensibilities.

Walaszek's artistic practice reflects a blend of modern and contemporary styles. He skillfully navigates between figurative and abstract realms, imbuing his paintings with emotional depth and expressive brushwork. His inspiration stems from a multitude of sources, encompassing historical and current events, the ever-evolving world of technology, and the breathtaking beauty of the Arkansas Ozarks.

After returning to the United States in 1977, Walaszek balanced a successful career in software development with his artistic passion. Since 2014, he has dedicated himself full-time to his art, creating from his studio at Lake Avalon.  Walaszek's paintings continue to captivate audiences, a testament to his lifelong exploration of creativity and his ability to translate his experiences into visually stunning works.
